The Darkness

This came to me this evening... thought I would post it.

The Darkness

In the darkness I will sleep
and conquer all that makes me weak.
With this rest my spirit will grow
and through my veins strength will flow.

Once I wake from this slumber
my fears shall no longer encumber
the heart that fiercely beats within
to break free of pain and let life begin.

So with this, I do tightly close my eyes
and quite the waking somber cries
to slip away into the deep-
the black, the darkness- and convalescing sleep.
